The Absence from School Scheme
Reimburses school fees and other expenses associated with a child’s long or short term absence from school, due to sickness or accident.

Introduction
Children get ill; it is a part of growing up. However, after you have paid your school fees in advance it may irritate you that your child is missing the education for which you have paid. This may not be too bad if they only miss a week but it is a different matter when it stretches to three weeks, or longer. In addition a lengthy absence implies that there is something seriously wrong and a long recuperation may be necessary and costs may be incurred for extra tuition, a holiday or medical treatment. The worst situation is if your child has to be withdrawn from school for medical reasons and you have to pay the school a term in lieu of notice as per your contract.
‘What a waste of money. I have paid the school fees and he is in bed at home’
‘She has missed so much school that we will need a private tutor to help her catch up before her GCSE‘s’
‘She has missed so much time at school that she will have to do an additional year’
‘We are having to withdraw him from school and they are asking for a term in lieu of notice. I ask you’
Our Solution
You may pay a premium which ensures that if your child is away from school for longer than 15 school days continuously you may claim an amount for each subsequent day away up to a maximum of three terms.
If you buy an insurance that pays you after your child has been away for a few days there will obviously be many more claims and you, the customer, will pay a much larger premium. However, if you choose this insurance, which only pays out when it is really needed, then it will cost you much less.
For example, if your child is at a school where the fees were £20,000 per annum you would pay a premium of £30 per term.
