Disaster Policy

Reimburses the school for the loss of school fees in the event that a number of children die or suffer a total permanent disability.

Each year thousands of children from independent school travel around Great Britain and abroad on field trips, adventure holidays, skiing holidays and sports trips.  In addition, many children use school buses to and from school each day.

If a tragedy were to occur and some of the children were never again able to return to school the impact on the families and the school community is devastating, however this insurance is concerned with the financial impact on the school of such a disaster and indemnifying the school of the loss of school fees that would result.

Financial Impact

Many schools generate small surpluses and all schools are keen to keep their fees as competitive as possible.  Capital development plans are normally funded from surpluses and in many schools there is not much room for financial manoeuvre.
