One private school in Scotland has put forward proposals which would allow its to expand and accommodate more pupils, it has been reported.
The Aberdeen Press and Journal revealed that Albyn School would undergo the £5 million project if plans are accepted by local authorities.
Expansion would mean that 60 more senior students could be taken on, while the existing pre-school groups would be combined.
Marketing manager Gemma Neal told the paper: "All the pupils are really excited about it.
"The school is going from strength to strength, it is down to the work of staff and pupils at the end of the day."
If the private schools plans go ahead, the project could be completed by the summer of 2012.
Albyn School offers education to children between the ages of two and 18 and its motto is Vigor et Juventas, which means vigour and youth.
