A private school in Penzance which has gone into administration will be open next term, its head teacher has said.
Despite the administrators being called in on December 23rd, Bolitho School will still teach its 350 pupils in the New Year, confirmed Mark Shere.
"Weve got one of two small negotiations in terms of people coming to re-finance but as far as were concerned that is almost completed," he told the BBC.
He revealed that many parents had agreed to pay school fees in advance so their children are able to return to the establishment in January.
However, this would be a "backstop", he claimed, and would only be brought to the fore if talks with potential buyers are not fruitful.
In the Republic of Ireland and the UK, there are currently 514,531 children in independent schools, statistics from the Independent Schools Council show.
