Private schools have been issued with new swine flu advice after a number of new cases of the virus were confirmed in recent days.
The Independent Schools Council (ISC) has produced the guidance as institutions around the capital close in the wake of its spread.
Five pupils at Alleyn's School in Dulwich were confirmed as infected on Monday (4th May), with a classmate suspected of spreading the virus, leading to the closure of the school.
Dolphin School and Noah's Ark Nursery in nearby Clapham were also closed "as a precaution" as the youngersiblings of the originally infected girl are pupils there.
This comes as the ISC distributes advice to private schools stating:"Consider whether extra space will be required for effective quarantine of suspected victims and make the necessary plans or preparations."
Parents at South Hampstead High School were issued with a letter on Sunday (3rd May) confirming that a pupil had been diagnosed with swine flu and noting that the independent institution would be closed until Thursday (May 7th) at the earliest.
