An independent school in Norfolk could soon be catering for more pupils if it gains planning permission for an extension.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, Langley School is hoping to make a number of developments to extend teaching and staff facilities.
Speaking to the paper, headteacher Dominic Findlay explained that the school is looking to boost pupil numbers from 450 to "around the mid-500 number" over a five-year period.
This will be helped by the school's ten-year development plan, the first stage of which has already been completed with the forthcoming opening of a new all-weather hockey pitch.
A new 15-classroom teaching block featuring four ICT suites and a new staff room for which planning permission is being sought are set to be ready for September 2010, added Mr Findlay.
'We are very keen to offer first-class facilities at the school and this will certainly move us a long way forward. It is a very exciting time for us,' he told the news source.
Langley is a co-educational school with boarding facilities catering for ten to 18-year-olds.
