A high number of powerful members of society can name Eton College as their alma mater, it has been noted.
The man just named as Thailand's new prime minister, Abhisit Vejjajiv, attended the prestigious independent school.
And a number of well-known faces can make the same claim, reports the Telegraph.
The paper lists important people in a range of fields who attended Eton, including founder of the Christian Alpha course Nicky Gumbel and leader of the Conservative Party David Cameron.
Other important alumni of the private school include the Duke of Sutherland, banker Nat Rothschild and Zac Goldsmith, the ecologist and son of tycoon Sir James Goldsmith, notes the news source.
Olympic gold-medal winning rower Sir Matthew Pinsent also attended the institution.
A high number of medallists at this year's Beijing Olympics were independent school pupils.
They included former George Watson College student Chris Hoy, who took home three golds at the event.
