While pupils in both state and independent schools up and down the country celebrate some fantastic A-level results, a number of pupils at Ellesmere College have received their scores for the International Baccalaureate (IB).
The IB, which has become increasingly popular at private schools around the UK, involves students taking six subjects and completing a mini-dissertation as well as a theory of knowledge course, reports Private School News.
It is graded according to numbers rather than letters, with the highest score standing at level seven.
And IB pupils at the Shropshire private school did their teachers proud, with a host of level sevens and sixes in the first year that the school has offered the qualification.
The school's headmaster told the news source that he is delighted with the results, adding that the IB "is a fantastic preparation for top universities".
A survey of university admission officers carried out recently by ACS International Schools found that 92 per cent of those surveyed believed those with an IB were best prepared for university.
