Eton's headmaster has explained the reason behind opting out of the independent schools' exam league table.
According to the Daily Mail, Tony Little has raised concerns about exam marking inaccuracy, as well as the way in which the results are "cobbled together".
Eton will be publishing its results on its website, rather than submitting them for the rankings.
Mr Little told the paper: "We are trying to give our parents accurate information which stands up to scrutiny rather than misinformation."
The royal school of choice, alongside Winchester and St Paul's School for boys, has boycotted the league table, which Mr Little told the paper has "a corrosive effect because teachers concentrate on examinations, not education".
Headmaster of the former haunt of Prince William and Harry added that an increase of "exam junkies" is being stimulated by the rankings.
Founded in 1440, Eton College is now home to around 1,300 male boarders between the ages of 13 and 18.
