Parents who send their children to a private school will see their investment come to fruition in the future, one expert has said.
Commenting on recent research by the Halifax about the increasing cost of independent school fees, head teacher at the Mount School in York Diana Gant stated that pupils that privately educated are "well prepared" to continue their learning and are "encouraged to be creative", the Independent reports.
"Independent school leavers have a strong sense of who they are and have the confidence to communicate with all sorts of people," she remarked.
Fees for pupils attending the Mount School range from £13,200 to £20,520, which may mean some parents must save in the years leading up to their child's attendance at the school.
Christopher Wicks of N-Trust told the paper that parents should plan out the expected cost of independent school and opt for savings or investment plan.
This follows a recent YouGov poll for Metlife revealed that many parents are dipping into their lifelong savings to fund private education, extra tuition and university fees, as reported by Reuters.
