An independent school that has been hit by two fires in the last two years has completed its renovation and rebuilding process.
Large parts of Edgehill College in Bideford were destroyed in March 2006, with 30 per cent of the main building and roof damaged.
And renovation was delayed when a second fire hit the school two months ago, reports the North Devon Gazette.
However, the 200 boarding and day pupils can finally celebrate the completion of the building, which includes new physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, art, dance and drama studios and a geography classroom.
Its official reopening will take place this October, alongside the opening of the reconstructed eastern end, which was struck by the second fire.
The rebuild of the western end of the school cost £5 million and headmaster Stuart Nicholson told the news source that he hopes the whole of Edgehill will be back to normal by next year's spring term.
Set amid 50 acres of grounds, Edgehill College is equipped with a range of fantastic facilities including a theatre and a field studies centre.
