Pupils at a private school are performing well above national averages, inspectors have found.
The team from the Independent Schools Inspectorate hailed Exeter School for promoting and achieving high academic standards, reports the Express & Echo.
In addition, the junior part of the 850-pupil selective school was singled out for its strong commitment to personal, physical and aesthetic needs too.
Headteacher Bob Griffin tells the publication: "This is a very positive report, which reflects the successful co-educational teaching and learning climate and the extensive range of opportunities beyond the classroom that exist at our school."
Among the latter are strong community links and a good selection of after-school activities.
An independent school based near Leeds has also been praised following its latest inspection. Officials from the Independent Schools Council recognised Alcuin School's development of spiritual, moral and cultural aspects in its students, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
