Our History

SFS Group Ltd has been a market leader in the provision of leading edge insurance in independent education since 1989.

We have specialised in providing well targeted, value for money and uniquely designed products for parents, children and independent schools for over twenty years. Indeed, we have a track record of innovation and deliver bespoke solutions to suit the needs of parents and all types of independent schools.

When SFS Group was founded we offered The School Fees Trust Scheme which, due to the changing needs of our customers, has evolved to The SFS Group Life Insurance Scheme which now offers parents life, terminal and critical illness protection to cover school fees and university expenses. The Scheme is offered on a group basis to ensure competitively priced contributions. We currently provide over 11,000 parents with life, terminal and critical illness protection to cover school fees or university expenses.

SFS Group in brief

Our range of products for children includes Personal Possessions Cover, Personal Accident Cover and the Absence from School Scheme which refunds fees if a child is absent as a result of sickness or accident.

SFS University Cover was launched in summer 2006 and provides invaluable, wide ranging Personal Possessions, Personal Accident and Legal Expenses cover for university students.

SFS Group is a dedicated provider of insurance and associated services to 600 schools. We have recently developed a range of insurances for independent schools, including Property & Liability Plus, Crisis Management for Schools and the Complete Travel Policy for Schools.
