How our policies and Charitable Trust has helped.

G A of Yorkshire

I received your letter this morning confirming that my claim had been accepted and I just want to thank you for dealing with this so promptly. It has been very straightforward and I greatly appreciate this in view of my illness.

Not having to pay school fee has not only been a financial help, but an enormous psychological safety net to the three boys and me.

I am writing to express my deep gratitude at the financial support you have given us over the children’s schooling. It has made all the difference in the world since my husband died.

As my brother’s executor, the discovery that he had joined the School Fees Trust Scheme… enabled the boys’ education to continue in the manner that he would have wished.

May I take this opportunity to advise you that I have found that this policy has given me peace of mind throughout my daughters’ school years hence it has been invaluable.

My son is at Abingdon School and The School Fees Charitable Trust gave him a grant to help him stay there. We have been through a difficult time at home and would not have been able to keep ‘AG’ at Abingdon without that help.

I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that AG did well at GCSE getting 5 A*, 3As, 1B & 1C. I know that if we had had to move him he would not have done nearly so well.

Please thank whoever made the decision for us and let them know ‘AG’ has now started his A'Levels in English, History, Maths and Art and is really keen and motivated and his dream to go to Oxford is still very much alive.

I am delighted to write to you with the news that David has passed his 'A' levels with the required grades, 'A' and 2 'B's to secure his University place at Manchester… and is very excited at the prospect of this new chapter in his life which begins in a few weeks time.

I am surely the proudest mum in the country! but seriously I can not thank you and your organisations enough for helping enable David to complete his education.

I wanted to write to express our most heartfelt thanks to the Trust for your generous support for ‘J’ over the past few terms, which has enabled him to complete his studies. He is absolutely delighted with his results.

‘J’ has been offered a place at Esher College and his long-term aim is to secure a place at the London School of Economics.

We are so grateful to you all for your help through what has been a very difficult time.

I write to give a final up-date on Jennifer to those Trusts and Foundations who have so kindly supported her with funds during her sixth form years.

After the sudden demise of her father and then her mother shortly after I can do no better than to quote from a letter received from her guardians. ‘It has been enormously helpful for Jennifer to have had the stability of staying at the school. She has seemed to cope well, supported by teachers who know her and by her friends’.

I would like to thank you for your hard work and thoroughness in the long review process. Naturally, the Trustees needed to be satisfied that they were switching to an excellent insurer after 291 years!

When we had a major fire that destroyed our new Woodland Centre in April this year, SFS and Zurich Municipal reacted very quickly and effectively. The claim was handled with sympathy – Zurich reserved over £600,000 immediately. This has given us peace of mind and confidence to concentrate on the task of rebuilding it without any worries.
